IVANS Quarterly Product Updates

Our IVANS product experts reviewed the newest IVANS features and capabilities in the latest quarterly product update webinar. We had a lot to cover – including the expansion of IVANS Distribution Platform, the acquisition of Ask Kodiak, continuous enhancements to the IVANS Exchange interface and new data insights. In case you missed the webinar or need a refresher, I wanted to give you an overview of the exciting improvements.

Connecting the Commercial Lines Channel

IVANS Distribution Platform, the industry’s solution for end-to-end Commercial Lines distribution, continues to add new partners and capabilities. The latest news is the integration of Epic Quotes for Small Commercial with IVANS Distribution Platform. With this integration, insurers can reach thousands of Applied Epic agents directly within their agency management systems.

IVANS Distribution Platform also continues to add new partners across the industry. The growing list of partners includes Bold Penguin, EZLynx, Applied Epic, Certificial, Indio, Semsee, Travelers, Encova, The Hanover Insurance Group, Coterie, Berkshire Hathaway Insurance Companies, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Strategic Insurance Software Agency Management Systems and Relay.

Insurers, MGAs and agency-facing solutions only need to connect once to expand their Commercial Lines distribution channel for a faster go-to-market strategy.

“We’re really expanding out the channel and trying to have that hub and spoke model where you only have to integrate once with IVANS Distribution Platform whether you’re a carrier or MGA or an agency-facing solution,” IVANS Product Manager Ryan Lapp said.

IVANS + Ask Kodiak = Single Source of Truth

Ask Kodiak co-founders Mike Albert and Allan Egbert have joined the IVANS family, bringing their best-in-class Commercial Lines appetite technology and passion for the industry to build on the solid foundation of both companies. Ask Kodiak will soon be integrated with IVANS Distribution Platform. This means you will be able to define, manage and communicate appetite in real time in one central location.

With Ask Kodiak integrated into IVANS Distribution Platform, you will be able to ensure you and your industry partners have the most accurate information. With the API-first design, you can make updates to question sets and appetite and they will be distributed across the channels. You can also control which partners have access to your information and what they can see.

“We’re super excited to keep expanding as we bring more of that single source of truth into the submission workflow,” Ryan said. “A lot more information will be coming out as far as what that means for you and how you can manage eligibility across your organization.”

Ongoing IVANS Exchange Enhancements

As you may already know, IVANS Exchange is a powerful tool where you can review and respond to feedback and download requests from potential and existing agency partners in one central location.

This tool continues to get even better thanks to user feedback and the dedication of the IVANS product team to meet industry needs. Earlier this year, we made changes to the mailbox to streamline functionality and allow easier filtering. Since the mailbox enhancement was released, IVANS has hosted user feedback sessions to hear from IVANS Exchange users on their experiences. As a result, we have more interface changes coming soon for readability and functionality based on feedback.

IVANS will continue to host user feedback sessions. In addition, the team has created a LinkedIn Group for insurers and agents to exchange ideas with other professionals, share product feedback and discuss trends.

“We want to have more dialogue about what we can do to enhance our offerings, brainstorm, and talk about what’s going on in the industry,” IVANS Product Management Director Heather Prabish said.

Looking Forward to New Data Insights

IVANS has partnered with Looker, a powerful data visualization platform that provides the building blocks to scale and connect data solutions across products, partners and systems. Through this partnership, IVANS will be providing new dashboards, analytics applications, APIs and workflow widgets for our current solutions as well as new data experiences.

The IVANS team has developed a roadmap for the rollout of the analytics tools that includes two projects in the next quarter – a new look and design for the IVANS Exchange dashboard and a new IVANS Distribution Platform dashboard.
