IVANS Connect 2019: Hear Why It’s a Must-Attend Event

This October, insurers, MGAs and solution providers from across the industry will gather at the Aria Resort in Las Vegas for IVANS Connect 2019, the insurance industry event dedicated to advancing information exchange – connecting insurers, agencies, MGAs and their insureds through digital technology.

This year’s conference explores the digital revolution of insurance, offering insightful educational sessions, powerful thought leadership and valuable networking for agencies, insurers, MGAs and solutions providers to discover the opportunities created by digital transformation.

To learn why IVANS Connect is a must-attend industry event, we spoke with previous attendees about their experience at the conference, and why they continue to attend year after year.

Pat Woodward, Quality Assurance Administrator II at NYCM Insurance, discusses the valuable information and experiences IVANS Connect has to offer that allow insurers to better understand where the industry is headed.

Q: How many times have you attended IVANS Connect and why do you continue to come back year after year?

A: I have attended three times and find the conference is the perfect place to get the latest information on available products and updates as to where we, as an industry, are headed in the future.

Q: Has your business benefited from attending IVANS Connect?

A: Absolutely. The IVANS speakers provide information on current, new and upcoming products and the relevance to our agents. This assists us in deciding the items to focus on.

Q: Can you tell us more about the feeling of community you get from IVANS Connect?

A: Everyone that attends, regardless of role or business, is happy to talk and share information and work together to keep the industry moving forward.

Q: Do you feel that IVANS Connect is a good place to discover new technology?

A: The IVANS representatives are very knowledgeable and the vendors that are present provide information and contacts to review their products.

Q: What is the best part of the conference?

A: The conference sessions provide such a wealth of information. As a carrier, I get to interact with agencies to hear what they need to be more efficient. This helps us shape the direction of our offerings. Also, sharing our successes as carriers, allows us to benefit from each other’s journeys.

Q: What is one important thing you’ve learned at IVANS Connect?

A:  All of the available options for the agencies within the IVANS Exchange portal. This allowed us to advise agencies of the self service options that are available to them.

Q: How many times have you attended IVANS Connect and why do you continue to come back year after year?

A: I’ve attended IVANS Connect for 4 years now and I will continue to do so. It’s a great place to meet insurance technology professionals who are doing the same things we are.

Q: Has your business benefited from attending IVANS Connect?

A: Columbia Insurance Group has absolutely benefited from attending IVANS Connect. We get the opportunity to learn from a wide range of attendees and presenters. It helps us to plan our next steps moving forward.

Q: Can you tell us more about the feeling of community you get from IVANS Connect?

A:  It’s a fantastic community of insurance professionals. I’ve been fortunate enough to attend the last few years and have reached out to many of them for professional advice. It’s a great place to talk about how we can better serve our clients.

Q: Do you feel that IVANS Connect is a good place to discover new technology?

A: Each year I attend IVANS Connect, I come back with something new on my list of things to accomplish. We wouldn’t be as automated as we are today without the conversations brought up by IVANS Connect.

Q: What is the best part of the conference?

A:  The best part of the conference is getting the chance to connect with peers and discuss industry related technology innovations. It’s a great atmosphere because we are all working toward the same goal: an automated, easier to use process to service our agents and policyholders.

Q: What is one important thing you’ve learned at IVANS Connect?

A:  It’s hard to choose just one thing I’ve learned from attending IVANS Connect. However, what’s impacted Columbia Insurance Group the most is how engaged so many of the agents actually are. We strive to provide helpful technology to agencies and this gives me an opportunity to better understand what other carriers are doing to achieve this.
